I love a black tie wedding, the formality and the elegance of a black tuxedo just gets me every time.  There is no other way of ensuring that your memories and photographs remain timeless and the years go on.

When I first met Pat, he was very adamant of what he wanted.  Being a corporate man himself, Pat is used to wearing a suit every day, so it was very important for him to step it up a notch on his wedding day.  We were also mindful that is groomsmen were also wearing dinner suits, so we needed to distinguish him from the rest.  I made suits for the entire bridal party, and it was a lot of fun getting to all of the boys over the course of the fittings.  For the grooms men, we went with classic peaked lapel dinner suits, one button jackets and flat front trousers.  For Pat on the other hand, we pulled out all of the stops.  Pat one button jacket was finished with squared off shawl lapel, it adds a little drama to the look and is a more contemporary aesthetic.  Pat also wore a dinner shirt which allowed him to wear 4 black onyx dress studs, and the bow tie was made out of the same silk that was used on the lapel.  I’m not a fan of contrasting shades of black satin so it’s important to get these finer details right.  The final little touch to Pat’s ensemble was the addition of white braces, which attached to his trousers beautifully courtesy of the buttons we sewed into the trousers, a much cleaner finish than using metal clips.

All that was left was for Pat to marry his stunning bride Bec in front of their loved ones within the beautiful grounds of Crittenden Winery in Dromana on Victoria’s Morning Peninsula.  A big congratulations to the gorgeous couple.  Thank you for allowing me to take part in your special day.
