Florence, January 2018
Pitti Uomo has been and gone for another season, and for most of you who know me, would understand that Pitti is always an amazing source of inspiration and talent. I didn’t have the opportunity to go this year, but I have been inundated with details, tips and links that highlight some of the emerging trends and street style already on the scene in Florence.
Naturally, I always gravitate towards the sartorial trends and always have a keen eye on my favourite tailoring houses and bespoke connoisseurs. Corneliani and Lardini, as per usual have dominated off-the-rack suit trends as have Brunello Cucinelli and Zegna.
Lardini, known for their soft Italian construction is very much in line with what we are working on in the studio. The colours are deep and autumnal once again, but its the innovation in technical fibres that everyone is talking about. Luxurious wool and cashmere with vicuna and viscose blends will change the way we were our suits in the not too distant future.
Here are a few photos of some of my favourite peacocks on the outside of the wall as well as a few insider only images beyond the wall of the Pitti Palace.
