The Work From Home Collection

The Work From Home Collection

With so many of us working from home and not visiting the office at the moment, the need for traditional business attire has changed. In speaking to many of you during this strange COVID-19 period that we are navigating, I realised that you still crave the need to feel stylish and professional. Your desire for smart, quality and tailored casual-wear has never been more apparent.

With this in mind, I began working on a new collection, which I like to call “Work from Home”. It has all of the quality and sartorial flare you have come to expect from my bespoke garments but with a more relaxed approach. Garments versatile enough to wear to that important Zoom meeting or a stroll to your local café. These garments are designed to be relaxed and casual, yet professional enough for when you return to the office. Intended to take you from workday to weekend, this collection is completely made-to-measure and can be customised to suit your particular style and preferences.

The beauty of this collection lies in the bespoke cloth, sourced from some of my favourite Italian mills. The collection shows just how versatile many of these fabrications can be with many options that are extremely adaptable to a more casual setting, even working from home.

LOOK 1

Outfit number one is all about sartorial ease, the traditional silhouette of a tailored jacket, with more casual features such as the patch pockets and the three-over-two button roll. There is no canvas or fusing whatsoever in this garment, its entire structure relies on the heavily textured boucle weave cloth, which gives a beautifully relaxed drape. The absence of lining makes the jacket very light and easy to wear with lightweight sweaters or a T-Shirt.

The pleated drawstring trousers, made from 100% wool flannel, has a slightly wider leg than more traditional business trousers, which offer a more relaxed look and fit. Designed with comfort in mind, these trousers are to be worn with a dress-sneaker or loafer.

Layered beautifully underneath our new favourite sports jacket is our new Eugenio Turtle Neck Sweater. A contemporary Turtle Neck sweater made from 100% Australian lambs-wool. Our luxurious Turtle Neck sweater provides you with a relaxed style that is designed to complement casual and relaxed business attire. Our lambs-wool offers a beautiful softness as well as a natural stretch for a figure-hugging silhouette.

LOOK 2

The military trend has been around for a little while now, and the Field Jacket is a really lovely addition to a man’s wardrobe. Visibly different in style from a sports jacket, the Filed Jacket offers a level of sophistication whilst noticeably more casual. The patch pockets allow for practicality and the use of a corduroy cotton fabric provides strength and durability. Reminiscent of the 1970s, our field jacket with military styling was designed to help you distinguish between your existing business wardrobe and offer you something new.

In keeping with the military style, we have created our new Tailored Gurkha Pant. Inspired by the Nepalese army, the original Gurkha pants were wide-legged shorts with a high waist, thick waistband, and a double-sided belt, which is buckled to the waistband. Today we have seen this style become a staple in many tailoring houses across Europe and Asia. We have adopted the Gurkha into our range of cotton chinos and offer them in a double pleated option with a tapered and cuffed leg.

LOOK 3

This look is in keeping with the military and utilitarian trend, yet it highlights the fusion between classic tailoring and contemporary styling. Our Utility Jacket is an evolution of our Cotton Overshirt, which we have showcased in previous posts. We have detailed the Utility Jacket with additional pockets and belted detail. Our Utility Jacket is a beautiful layering piece designed to be worn over knitwear or T-Shirts and is available in a range of assorted colours. I particularly love this rust coloured cotton, which is sourced from the finest English cotton.

Our Pleated Herringbone Pant is relaxed in style and silhouette whilst it pays homage to the era of classic tailoring and luxurious heavy textiles. The addition of a wider waistband and adjustable side tab makes for a more comfortable fit. The cloth which is sourced from Italian mill Filarte, was originally designed to be used for sports jackets. It is a heavier and sturdier cloth that offers beautiful drape, warmth, and durability. The herringbone pattern provides a variety of colour and texture and makes these trousers suitable for casual and business wear, depending on how you would like to style them.
