Mark & Natalie

Weddings don’t get any more glamorous than this.  The location, the styling, the details, the guests and of course the bride and groom.  Mark and Natalie were married in the incredibly stunning beach side village Praiano in Italy, located on the Amalfi Coast just next to Positano.

When Mark and Natalie first came in to see me, they had a very clear vision in mind, which always makes my job a little easier.  I love a groom that has a sense of his own style and has a very clear look in mind, which Mark did,  but he was still open to a few suggestions and allowed me to leave my mark on the suit.

As I learnt more about their wedding plans, the location and their list of amazing local and Italian suppliers all contributing to this special occasion, I fell in love with it all and found my self somewhat envious of their wedding.   The theme was formal and Mark definitely wanted to wear a tuxedo.  Naturally we were concerned with the weather and the level of Mark’s comfort on what would most likely be quite a hot Mediterranean summer’s day, so in order to produce the best bespoke suit for Mark we needed to select a cloth that was comfortable and light but still offer a lovely drape.

So what exactly did Mark wear on his big day you ask? Mark wore a beautiful three piece tuxedo in a jet black Super 120 Italian cloth from Dino Filarte in Biella. The shawl collar lapel was squared off at the waist and was finished with a satin trim, as were the buttons and pocket details.  The made to measure waist coat, which was cleverly disguised until Mark removed his jacket, was finished in a single-breasted horseshoe shape to allow for the tuxedo dress studs to shine against the crisp white made to measure shirt.  I especially love Mark’s footwear of choice, the classic Gucci penny loafer,  elegant and classically Italian.  Just like me.

Natalie on the other looked absolutely stunning in her customer custom dress from One Day Bridal in Melbourne, definitely Mark’s best accessory, which I cant take any credit for.
