Nakita first reached out to me a few months before her wedding to Mike, she was referred by another client and had seen some of the work I had done previously. Just for the record, I love a referral. It’s very common for a bride to make contact with me first, most women are a bit better at seeing the bigger picture and they also like to make sure they are leaving their future husbands in good hands.
When I first met Mike and Nakita, I was taken aback by just how excited they were. It’s great to see a couple that was so happy and excited about their big day.
In talking to Mike, he mentioned that his groomsmen were all going to be in black tuxedos, so he wanted to stand out a bit and opt for an off-white made-to-measure tuxedo jacket.
I immediately loved this idea. My theory is the bride never looks like the bridesmaids, so why should the groom look like the groomsmen?
We sourced an Italian cloth from Vitale Barberis Canonico, black for the trousers and the dinner jacket was off white with a very special ivory satin to compliment. The jacket was detailed with broad peak lapels and finished as one button, as all dinner jackets should. Mike donned a hand made black silk bow tie and a made-to-measure dinner shirt with black dress studs, timeless and elegant in style.
Congratulations Milke & Nakita. Thank you for sharing your beautiful photos with us.
