Wil & Christina

Weddings are a time when family and friends come together to celebrate the love and union of the special couple.  In Will & Christina’s case, this couldn’t be more true.  With guests flying in from all over the world to witness their nuptials and celebrate their union, the lead up to their big day was an event in itself.  Hosting guests from interstate and overseas for week long festivities kept the bride and groom on their toes, but they wouldn’t have had it any other way.

Will and Christina were married in early December of last year, at Melbourne’s premier lakeside event space Carousel.  The venue was the perfect location for their reception, providing the beauty and the space for their respective families and friends.  Even their bridal party was huge, with 5 groomsmen and 5 bridesmaids Will and Christina certainly had their nearest and dearest around them the whole day.  As you can tell from the photos, which make you fee like the wedding was held in a tiny Greek island village, the bride and groom were in their element the entire day and rightly so.

I had the pleasure of dressing Will and his entourage.  Wil wanted a very sleek, contemporary look minus some of the fan fair you get with a black tie weddings but with all of elegance.  We decided on an ivory jacket from Italian mill Vitale Barberis Canonico , minus the satin lapel and navy blue trousers with a crisp white shirt.  A hand made navy blue silk bow tie provided all the elegance we needed and Will brought the rest.   I think you’ll agree the ivory jacket suited Wil beautifully and complimented his stunning bride in her beautiful white dress made by Melbourne design icon Capellazzo Couture.

The groomsmen all looked very stylish and elegant in classic navy blue made to measure lounge suits.  Navy is definitely my favourite colour and is so versatile.  Whether your are wearing a black or brown shoe, dark or pastel accessories, it never disappoints.
