When Jo and Alan first got engaged, I think the whole world found out. This gorgeous couple’s excitement was contagious, and as a long time friend of the bride, I couldn’t be happier for them.
A beautiful winery in the Yarra Valley was the setting for the day, and boy was it a memorable one. There wasn’t a dry eye on the hill that day, their love for one another was so evident, and their vows, well all I can say is WOW!!
The brief for this wedding was relaxed, but sharp, country but kind of cocktail at the same time.
I put the Groom and Groomsmen in the same French Navy pure wool fabric (one of my favourite Super 130’s), but Alan wore a 1 Button Peak Lapel Jacket with an Ivory Silk Knit Tie, whilst the boys were in a Classic Notch Lapel 2 Button Jacket with Silk Knit Tie in Dusty Rose. Ash, the brides-man (Joanna’s a very ‘contemporary” girl) wore a fitted mid grey Sharkskin Super 130 which complimented the colour of the bridesmaid’s dresses beautifully.
I’m a big fan of the Silk Knit Tie – it softens the look a little and lends itself beautifully to a country wedding.
Thanks Jo and Alan for allowing me to share this day with you. I had a ball working with you as well as drinking the night away with all of your guests.
Oh and that cake, Cheeses! It was the best wedding cake I’ve ever seen!
